By taking part in this one day course, participants will:

• Have an introduction to health & safety at work relating to aggression & violence.

• Have an increased awareness of their strengths & weaknesses in relation to dealing with conflict & aggression.

• Have adequate knowledge of how conflict can begin and escalate.

• Be able to recognise physical signs of potential aggression when working with people.

• Have explored a variety of safety strategies which they will be able to call upon when dealing with situations in the work place, in the street, or in client’s homes.

• Have learned techniques which will allow them to manage situations of conflict.

• Have had a basic introduction to breakaway techniques.     

• Have a series of handouts to inform future practice delivery.

This course is accredited by the Royal Environmental Health Institute Scotland (REHIS) and participants will achieve a recognised certificate, gained following successful completion of a multiple choice knowledge check at the end of the course. Not only does our course provide training , but our previous clients have reported that it is an effective team building event, helping staff to deliver a more confident, professional and cohesive service to their clients.

To buy this course in for your team the cost is  £650  per day for up to 16 participants.

To attend an open course as an individual the cost is £50 per head.
